Maison & Objet 20/01/12 - 24/01/12

Kronbali at the Maison & Objet Fair Hall 1 G43 from the 09/09 - 13/09

From the 09/09 till the 13/09 we will be at the Maison & Objet fair in Paris. We will be in the Ethnic Chic Hall 1 stand G 43. At the fair we will be exposing : Juju Hats If you like to select your piece(s) make sure to come as early as possible you'll have the best pick. If however you can't make it early, an e-mail can do the trick.... I will personally pick the best hat(s) for you ;-) Singing Bowls Ladahk Ornaments Linghams Hope to see you at the fair! The hardest part of my job is that every year, early September, I'm at the fair and miss my children's first day of school.  This year my little Asia is going into 1st grade. Juju hats and Peacock feathers

Early July I spent a week in a little village in the Tuscany. Where I stayed there was a peacock and these are some of his feathers ( I picked them off the ground ;-) ) Of course I had to include them in one of my Juju hat instalations!  If interested in a piece please send an e-mail to : kronbali@kronbali.com

Set of seven singing bowls

Above is a set of seven singing bowls.  size 7 (largest) measures 28.5 cm and weighs 2.2 kg and size 1 (smallest) measures 19 cm and weighs 0.9 kg  The full set weighs 10.5 kg Although sizes and weight vary slightly the above set is a good example of how they come. Each bowl comes with a "stick". The sizes vary depending on the size of the bowl.  Please note that the "sticks" are new.  Our singing bowls come by piece or by sets. Singing bowls from the Himalayas

  Singing bowls  are used as a support for meditation,  trance-induction and prayer, as well as for  relaxation, healthcare and personal well-being . Antique singing bowls are made of an alloy of seven metals :  Gold for the Sun Silver for the Moon Mercury for Mercury Copper for Venus Iron for Mars Tin for Jupiter   Lead for Saturn   To make a singing bowl "sing" one must rest the bowl in the palm of the hand and rub the rim with a wooden or leather wrapped singing bowl striker, the rim of th e singing bowl then vibrates to produce a calming sound or hum. To do this you will need concentration and practise, in my case "alot" of practise.The sound produced by this friction will be more or less high or low pitched, depending on the size of the bowl. Antique singing bowls are highly prized and collected worldwide, this due to their fine craftsmanship and remarkable sound.
